HUMP DAY

WORD OF THE DAY: CONJECTURE (kuhn-JEK-cher)
To guess, to infer with little evidence, to speculate

The news commentators conjectured on who would win the election.
The attorney argued that the scenario painted by the defense, which put his client near the crime scene, lacked any evidence and was mere conjecture.
Conjecture can also be used as a noun.
I based my estimation on more than conjecture; I have data to back it up.

Pet Peeves

All of us have those things that just can tick you of from the smallest things. Like when you go in the bathroom realize there is no tissue an now someone has to bring you another roll. When you make a bowl of cereal and then the milk is spoiled. One of the biggest you get your side of the bed all warm and then your mate says " scoot over " wtf screaming on the inside. The ones mentioned here are only a few. I have a included a list of the top twenty Pet Peeves check it out.

Top 20 Pet Peeves
Drivers who don't use a turn signal.
People who read out loud when they're typing an email or letter.
Kids who tease dogs through a fence.
People who drink directly out of the milk/orange juice containter.
Couples who sit on the same side of the booth when there is no one on the other side.
Parents who bring their young kids to R rated films.
People that don't use coasters.
People who blame anything but themselves for THEIR failure.
People who sit next to you on public transportation even when there are other seats available.
Noisy eaters.
Students who prolong class by asking the most inane questions.
Women who wear jewelry that clinks and clacks and makes noise when they're at their desk or keyboard. When people take 20 napkins, use one, then throw them all away.
Going through the drive thru, then having to go back when they screw your order up.
People walking around in ridiculous 'fashionable' shoes that are clearly hurting their feet.
Whenever anyone says "Ya, know what I'm sayin"...
Using speaker phones in public areas at work.
Roadmaps that aren't folded correctly.
Finding a shoe and not finding its mate next to it
Made up car names that are not even real words.

Make A Sacrifice

Often in our lives we reach a point when nothing seems to be working out right. We can't get the job we want, kids won't listen, and relationship is out of whack. If life were like a car take the bad tires off, get a tune up and check all the fluids then roll off into the sunset it would be great. More often then not we don't do enough ground work to make sure things move how we want in life. We look for the easy way out or chase after the wrong things. How many of you have gone to party with no money in the bank and all your bills past due? How many times have you only paid half your bill instead of the whole amount. By putting these thing at the bottom of your list will only continue to have you left behind. Remember nothing good comes easy a little bit if sacrifice will go a long way later.

The Lost Generation

Whatever happened to the fair fight, an argument being just an argument? Today anyone can get a gun no license needed. Who is to blame? When senseless violence is happening in our communities day after day. Have we become a generation of no remorse? Women walking to their cars being robbed at gunpoint, men killing their girlfriends and children, no one is safe. Have we not become tired of candle light vigels and bears and flowers tied to poles to show love and remembrance. The lives that have been lost are worth way more than that. Does every one need to bear arms in order to feel safe? There is no one to point the finger at but ourselves we created this environment and it has spiraled out of control. The streets today are kill or be killed. How can anyone feel safe like that?

DOES SIZE MATTER?

Amongst women there is often the belief that size does matter. Will size determine how long you date someone or if you will be with them long term?Have you ever asked a man to see his penis first before you make the next move?Their are so many factors that go into size. The penis could be large and then the sex is horrible so it's a waste. What is too big when it's just uncomfortable and more pain than pleasure. Do men no when there penis is little?Do they just make themselves believe it's bigger than it really is. Often the man with the smallest penis talks the most shit. Should you tell the man hey this is not what I expected so please get up?

So does size matter?

Popularity

It is said that to who much is given much is expected.
It is amazing that being popular or the center of attention doesn't stop after high school. Have you ever wondered how some of the people that get looked at as the movers and shakers can often be the snakes and the fakers? No one can ever really tell which way is up whether they’re getting the real person or the fake. If a war broke out in the city where would you stand? Next to the man holding the knife cause he had True Religion marked on his hand? Or find your way to the peasants to hide down in caves to avoid being killed cause you are a coward with no weapon. Everyone wants the lights, camera, action and fame all that comes with hard work no pain no gain. Be clear of how you want to be viewed. Be kind to all people and do your best not to pass judgment. So when you rock your True's and wear them Jimmy Choos you feel you on top of the world and you no longer got the blues. Now if we minus all that would people still call you cool?

KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF

As a kid you learn to keep your hands to yourself why it is so hard for us to remember that as adults? Often we believe that if you have money that all your problems willgo away. There is certainly three sides to every story; her side, his side and the truth which no one knows but them. At some point you have to step back and weigh all your options.Do I put my hands on him/her and lose my freedom, possibly my career  or do I walk away and calm down? The easier route would be to walk away and calm down then come back once you have cooled off. But I guess sometimes you react before you think which is what happened in the Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada case alledgedly  I would like to think a man with a prominent football career would not risk all that by hitting a women. Clearly he doesn’t realize the influence he plays in the eyes of the people who look at him as a role model, father and mentor to many. How can people support him or cheer him on if he has a temper and can’t control his emotions? Now this doesn’t mean that the women should be able to say and do what she wants with no repercussions but you married her so deal with it. Women have a way of provoking a man to violence or arguing until they snap. Sadly, some women get off on this. There has to be a point when you say this isn’t working we need to breakup or separate. Love is a hard thing that must be worked on daily. The solution to ones problems can’t be solved by hitting, head butting or knocking your significant other around.

What do you think would you take him back?

Kyrie Irving Camp

Today i had the great pleasure to attend the Kyrie Irving Basketball Camp.  Camp started at 9am  for kids 7-18 . Tons of kids and lots of coaches to try and take these kids games to the next level. Loacl DJ KNYCE  was in the building playing the hits to keep the kids motivated and pumped to play. The camp broke off into different age groups to perfect the skills for all levels of play. Kyrie came in the building and the kids went crazy all smiles everywhere. Kyrie took taem pics with the kids and did a couple of drills with the kids to show him what they learned. The camp is for two days so I will be right back here at it tomorrow. If you are looking for something positive for you son/daughter who loves the game of basketball then next year you have to come out and support this camp. It's good to see Kyrie willing to do the camp here and give back to the city that supports him and the Cleveland Caviliers.

Does A Man Want A Freak?

When you hear men talk about what they want they say they want a women in the streets and a freak in the sheets. Is that really the case? A lot of times women worry about the judgment a man will place on her as soon as she shows this side of herself. The first question a man may have is “Does she do this with everyone?” Now he feels she's a hoe. What they don't understand is that all the extra “freakish” stuff women are into sometimes is solely for themselves. But most of the time the extra foreplay, the lingerie, heck even the high heels that make her feet hurt are really all for him. It's easy for us to turn this on and off like a switch. As women we pick and choose some slip thru the cracks guys that really didn't deserve all the exciting stuff we give them but other times there are those guys that every time we see them we think of new tricks! So men don't judge your lady because she shows you her inner freak embrace the love and appreciate it.

Who Pays the Bill?

Being younger growing up I learned that whoever touches the bill pays the bill. Now I know today it is not that simple but really who should cover the bill. If you go out to dinner with your girls should the bill be divided equally among everyone? If one person only had a salad and the others orders steaks should everyone still have to pay the same cost?  When one person from the group offers to pay the whole bill should everyone else leave the tip? How do you decide?  On a date with the opposite sex who should cover the cost of the date? Should it matter if this is the first date or fifth date? Men say its sexy to see a women pay for him and show she doesn't expect him to do it all. Often the problem comes when they feel like the date that the other party may have paid for was cheaper so now they have to spend more money. Is going Dutch the best practice everyone pay for themselves? Having dinner or dating is tough when people and attitudes are so different.  Best practice pay for what you eat, tip the waitress bad or good, and don't argue about the bill shows no class and very tasteless.

Dating and Religion

In many cultures religion is the determining factor for who you will marry, who you are allowed to date or if you can even consider this person as your mate. In the black community these factors as they relate to religion seems to be non existent. Can you recall a time when you asked your date about there religion? For many culture this could be the first and sometimes only question before moving forward. Within the black community many of the questions we pose are insignificant and hold no merit. These questions range from asking about his/her income to questioning him/her about past relationships. Why are we so focused on matters of nothing? Are these the reasons our relationships fail because the ground they are built on have no concrete just quick sand? Im sure many of my readers as well as myself were brought up in the church every Sunday with our grandparents. Did we not pay attention or are we just not willing to remember the values and moral teachings that were taught to us? They say when you know better you do better. Ask the question do you pray? Are you a man of God? The answer may surprise you and he may forever respect you. Remember there is no such thing as a dumb question except for the ones you don't ask!

The proof is in the Pudding!!!

For years or even centuries women have been trying to figure out men how they think, act and just outright function. At 32 years old I can say I still have no clue. All the books and movies in the world can't help you with the average man because the ones portrayed in the movies no one ever meets. Most of my friends, including myself find ourselves dating the street pharmacist on a come up "not". Or even the man just leaving his baby mama who’s mad because she was not the best to him so the next women doesn't stand a chance. Even better is the dude who cleans up nice in the club, drives a really nice car, but lives with his girl and it's her car! Now the last type of guy is the worse cause they are the ones that got more dates then the law allow. Tell you to only text them certain times of day and you better not think about quality time on the holiday because he will be with her. Now how is it that a man who has a women who is willing to carry the load for you and her is still willing to cheat please fellas explain? Now I'm sure there are some good men out there but they are not just standing out in the open to be chosen. At the end of the day we all want complete happiness.

Hey let me know are there standup guys out there?

Women have you found what you need in a man?

The city where I'm from once known as the mistake on the lake has turned into the place to be. Downtown city life is coming back the Horseshoe Casino is definetly where it's at. If gambling isn't your thing and you want to dance and sing take a walk down West 6th and your sure to find a place to do your party thing. Try riding the bull or get into some bull all u need is right here. For those who like to roam the hood streets you can check out the Cocktale for hood songs , friends and good drinks . Acrosstown as we say you can stop by Draped on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Gate both spots go hard in the paint. No doubt Cleveland is the city where you can eat, play and drink!
